Flowing from Winter into Spring • March 4-6, 2016

Early March has us experiencing the later notes of winter and we start to see promise of spring’s light and warmth. This is a beautiful time to honor the introspection and turning inward that is such an important part of our winter hibernation.

By honoring this turning inward, we also recognize that seeds planted during this time offer great potential when watered with creativity and patience. This spring weekend retreat is designed to offer you the opportunity to dive deep into a conscious yoga practice. We will honor gentle, persistent, mindful practice as we build tapas (discipline), movement, heat, and vigor to help us transition from winter to spring with balance and grace.

Classes will offer many elements of the yoga practice (asana, pranayama, meditation, etc) in longer sessions designed to journey inward. Please come with a sense of curiosity and willingness to explore. Some yoga experience is recommended, although all levels are welcome. There will also be opportunity to rest, hike, write, read, and visit with friends.

Dawn began to study yoga in 2001 and began teaching in 2005. Many people have inspired and encouraged Dawn in her path to teach. She values their guidance and support of her and continues to dive deep in practice at their encouragement. It is this same relationship and attitude that she aspires to provide her students.
